GATE Application Form 2020 – IIT Delhi will release the GATE 2020 application form in the second week of September tentatively. GATE application form 2020 will be available in online mode only. Things to Keep Ready Before Filling the GATE Application Form 2020: Students are advised to keep the following things ready with them before they start filling the GATE 2020 application form
- Scanned copies of photograph and signature in the dimensions specified by the authority
- Details pertaining to communication and permanent address, family and personal details

How to fill GATE 2020 Application Form: Students can find below the step by step guide to fill the GATE Application Form 2020
Step 1- GATE 2020 Registration: Candidates who would be filling the application form has to first register themselves using the GATE 2020 login. Candidates would be asked to provide the following details at the time of GATE registration 2020
- Name of the candidate
- Email ID and Mobile number
- Password for future login
Candidates must provide their current and functional email ID and mobile number while filling the registration form for GATE 2020. After entering all the details, click on the submit button to submit the GATE 2020 registration form. A password (OTP) will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number which need to be entered to complete the GATE 2020 registration process.
A unique enrollment ID will be allotted to every candidate after the completion of GATE registration 2020.
Step 2- GATE 2020 Application Form Filling: Candidates have to fill the application form of GATE 2020 after the completion of registration. GATE 2020 application form filling includes steps of filling the details. Candidates have to enter the following details while filling the GATE 2020 application form
Personal Details: Candidate need to enter the personal details like the name of candidate, father’s name, name of mother, date of birth, nativity etc. Candidate must take utmost care while filling the GATE 2020 application form. Candidates are advised to fill all the details as mentioned in the official documents.
Academic Detail: Candidate has to enter the details of academic qualifications from HSC till graduation. All the details should exactly match from the official marksheets.
Contact Details: Candidate need to enter the communication address as well as the permanent address. In case both the address are same, put the same address in both the column of address.
GATE Paper: Candidate need to select the paper from which he/she wants to appear. There are a total of 25 subjects for which the GATE exam is held. Candidates are however required to select the GATE paper as per their subject of eligibility. GATE Exam Centre: Candidate are required to select a total of three exams cities for GATE 2020. GATE 2020 exam centres will be allotted by the exam conducting authority as per the choices filled.

Step 6- Submission of GATE 2020 Application Form: Students can submit the application form after the payment of application fees. Candidates are advised to check and verify all the details before final submission of application form. Candidates are also provided with the correction facility during which all candidates who would submit their application form will be able to modify their details.
GATE 2020 Application Form Correction: The GATE 2020 application form correction facility will be available in the month of Octoberfrom first week onwards. Candidates who want to modify their details will be allowed to make changes in their already submitted application form. However, candidates will not be able to modify all the details and an official notification will be issued for the particulars which could be modified.
To modify the details candidates will be required to login through GATE 2020 Candidate Login using the GATE enrollment number and password.
